On 24th November<\/strong>, from 14.30 to 17.00<\/strong>, on\u00a0Slash Radio Web<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>the fifth and final episode of the program will be broadcast 'Art Conversations'<\/strong>, dedicated this year to the 'Mediterranean. Cultures, exchanges and shared imaginaries<\/em>', to divulge the typical features of the Mediterranean civilization, a heritage shared by all the different cultural realities bordering the inland sea.<\/p>\n

Confronting in the Mediterranean: encounters of civilizations between the shores of the inland sea<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The fifth stage of this millennial journey will crown the cycle with a series of interventions dedicated to interweaving of civilizations on the banks of the Mare Nostrum.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the first contribution, an overview of the itineraries and workshops created by the Nations Museums of Genoa<\/strong> to make the rich heritage resulting from the Mediterranean interactions of the historic Maritime Republic more accessible.<\/p>\n

Subsequently a diachronic path will follow, from the era of the great cultures of the ancient Near East, to the imperial claims of Rome, to the diffusion of Islam, to the Reconquest<\/em>\u00a0catholic, in the East-West comparison, among the cultural, political and religious transformations<\/strong> of which the Mediterranean was the background.<\/p>\n

Finally, the complex phenomenon that led millions of people to cross the borders of the Mediterranean and the borders between Christianity and Islam will be treated. Two civilizations that for the control of its waters collided and met intertwining between race<\/em>, slavery and religious conversions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As usual, the 'SlashArt pills' will enrich the Art Conversations. The pill of this transmission will be entitled "Ancona and the sea: discovering the Cathedral of San Ciriaco<\/strong><\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Musical pieces inspired by the theme will accompany the audience on this cultural journey.<\/p>\n
