Cultural heritage cataloging course – second module

The cultural heritage cataloging course is organized by the Directorate General for Education and Research in collaboration with the ICCD. The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge and skills for the application of the cataloging standards of the different types of cultural heritage and for the insertion of the catalog cards in the Sigec Web system.

The course is organized in three modules:

• the first, held in July 2016, concerning cataloging methodologies and standards;
• the second, which will take place from 24 to 28 October 2016, entitled Application of cataloging methodologies and standards in the General Information System of the Catalogue;
• the third, on a date to be determined, focused on the themes of the reuse of cataloging data and the relationship between SIGECweb and Linked Open Data.
