The Directorate General for Education, Research, and Cultural Institutes coordinates and supports research programmes in cultural heritage, collaborating with public and private entities, European and international research institutions, the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR) and the National Research Council (CNR), in the coordination and promotion of university and research programmes in the areas of MiC’s authority.
Study and research activities are coordinated by Service I – Office of Studies. Service I - Studies Office.
The Directorate approves the Three-year Plan for educational, research, and self-assessment activities.
The institutes belonging to the Directorate carry out research activities, including in the international environment, in their respective areas of expertise.
