The presence of the Ministry of Culture at the XXV edition of the Mediterranean Exchange for Archaeological Tourism is confirmed again this year which will take place in Paestum (Salerno), at the Next, Nuova Esposizione ex Tabacchificio Cafasso, from 2nd to 5th November.
The historic event represents an opportunity for in-depth study, dissemination and meeting for professionals, tourism and cultural operators, travellers, enthusiasts, schools and universities.
To explore the cultural heritage in a playful and engaging way, the MiC joins the initiative with a dedicated stand and a broad program of interventions and educational workshops focused on the key themes of the 2023 edition:
- management and enhancement of museums, parks and archaeological areas;
- protection of archaeological heritage;
- new archaeological discoveries and investigations;
- fruition of the archaeological heritage.
The Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes – Centro per servizi educativi (Sed) participates:
- with the intervention EXPERIENCE, DIALOGUE, DEVELOPMENT... EDUCATE FOR THE FUTURE? the 5 November 9.30-10.00
- to heritage education activities, organized with the General Secretariat and managed by the educational services of places of culture. The initiatives, hosted for the entire duration of the event, consist of creative workshops, narratives, games and interactive experiences and have the aim of bringing young generations closer to the themes of archaeology.
