On 27 April from 9.30 to 13.30 in Rome at the Sala Spadolini of the Roman College will be held the Conference “Educating communities and new shared models of active citizenship. Development prospects for a culture of childhood and adolescence."
The conference is organized by Alliance of Networks for Educating Communities (ARCE) and by the Ministry of Culture – Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes.
The ARCE Alliance was born from the awareness of the increase, in recent years, of educational/cultural poverty in our country and from the desire to develop shared and participatory contrast programs which, with the involvement of all the subjects of the territory, provide for synergistic actions and effective oriented, in particular, towards the most vulnerable and marginalized childhood and adolescence from the educational system.
The Ministry of Culture, through the Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes, responsible for promoting knowledge and the civil function of cultural heritage, shares this educational commitment, presenting for the occasion a policy document entitled "Childhood and adolescence: notes for a widespread education. Towards a community heritage“.
The conference therefore intends, on the one hand, to present new institutional and civil society objectives and, on the other, to strengthen dialogue and collaboration with the actors who, at national and local level, are oriented towards intervening in the fight against educational poverty, so as to activate social and political synergies that are increasingly necessary today for the younger generations to build a future of peace and development.
