The MiC will take part in the International Conference “Heritage Education. Comparing practices and experiences” which will take place in Syracuse (Ortigia) on 9-10 September 2022.
The initiative promoted by the Kore University of Enna - Faculty of Classical, Linguistic and Educational Studies as part of the activities envisaged by the "Education to heritage" working group of the Italian Society of Pedagogy (SIPED), coordinated by Marinella Muscarà (UNIKORE) and Antonella Poce (UNIMORE), intends to offer an opportunity to reflect critically, at an interdisciplinary level, on the educational value of cultural heritage through discussions with national and international scholars and experts.
The conference will be divided into plenary sessions and thematic sessions focusing on the topics: Technologies and cultural heritage; Citizenship, inclusion and cultural heritage; Intangible heritage, landscape and sustainability.
In particular, the Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes with Service I – Center for Educational Services of the Ministry of Culture (Sed) will participate with industry contributions during:
- the thematic session – Citizenship, inclusion and cultural heritage with a speech entitled: For a shared cultural heritage. The social value of heritage education (9 September 2022)
- the panel discussion (10 September 2022)
