On 28 July, from 16.00 to 18.30, on Slash Radio Web the second appointment of the program will be broadcast 'Art Conversations', dedicated this year to the 'Mediterranean. Cultures, exchanges and shared imaginaries', to disseminate the typical features of the Mediterranean civilization, a heritage shared by many different cultural realities that overlook the inland sea.

Eating in the Mediterranean: diets, foods and immaterial culture – second episode

The second episode of the new cycle will address the theme of food. Specifically, the Mediterranean Diet will be treated, registered, since 16 November 2010, in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, possessing one of the peculiar traits of the culture of the "Mare nostrum".

Reading a passage taken from Les surprises d'Hérodote by Lucien Febvre (1940), will open the episode. An intervention will follow which will address the relationship between the Mediterranean diet and cultural systems and a contribution to Mediterranean Diet Festival

The second reading, taken from I travel to Italy by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1786-1788), will offer a suggestive evocation of those elements of the Mediterranean scenario, lemons, fish and shellfish, which so struck the famous German humanist.

Interventions by theItalian Sommelier Association (AIS), dedicated to the role of wine in telling the history and traditions of the Mediterranean territories, to the path of the first visually impaired sommelier of the Association and to the charitable and social inclusiveness initiatives promoted by the same.

The art conversations will enrich theSlashArt pills', on this occasion dedicated to The culture of plastic: art, design, environment.

Finally, within the customary address book for accessible activities currently ongoing on the national territory the tactile visit will be presented Add a seat to the king's table at the Royal Museums of Turin.

Music tracks inspired by Mediterranean food they will accompany the public on this cultural journey now in its second appointment.

Leander Ventura, director of the Central Institute for Intangible Heritage - MiC; Stefano Pisani, mayor of Pollica-Acciaroli, referent of the Italian Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Marco Albanese, delegate of the Italian Sommelier Association – Lecce and province; Antonio Tramacere, sommelier of the Italian Sommelier Association – Lecce; Alessia Varricchio and Annalisa Trasatti of the Omero State Tactile Museum in Ancona; Giorgia Corso, coordinator of educational services and referent for accessibility of the Royal Museums of Turin; Elisabetta Borgia of the Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes, Service I Studies Office – MiC.
