Training Days “ICR Tools and Methods in Emergency Circumstances”
TheCentral Institute for Restoration in collaboration with the School of Cultural Heritage and Activities Foundation e con la Direzione Generale Educazione, ricerca e istituti culturali organizza le giornate formative: Strumenti e metodi dell’ICR in circostanze emergenziali. Il ruolo dell’ICR nell’alluvione di Firenze (1966), nel sisma dell’Abruzzo del 06 aprile 2009 e nel sisma dell’Italia Centrale del 24 agosto 2016.
The experience of the flood in Florence reminded us of the need to ensure rapid intervention and correct methodological procedures. From this point of view, starting in the 1990s, the ICR has studied and perfected the tool of the Risk Map, as a support to prevent damage to cultural heritage.
In the lessons, case studies will be presented, related to the most recent earthquakes, taken into consideration by ICR staff:
- in architecture, the pilot experience carried out by ICR in the Church of San Salvatore in Campi;
- as regards moveable heritage, we will speak about the recovery and restoration of the fictile nativity scene of Santa Maria del Ponte rescued after the 2009 earthquake, in the Museum of Celano, and the stone works currently stored in the Cittaducale moveable heritage depository, after the earthquake in Central Italy in 2016.

Enrolment and use
Enrolment must be done from 10 to 23 March 2022 through the Course Portal https://portalecorsi.beniculturali.it
The training days will be available on the Foundation’s FAD Platform on 4 and 8 April 2022, live for up to 980 participants.
For additional participants enrolled and authorised on the Course Portal (up to 3,000), the content will be available on demand starting 18 April 2022.
Attending all the lectures of the module (about 4 hours) entitles participants to 6 continuing education credits (CFC).
