Methods and tools for accessibility
The training course, organized by the State Tactile Omero Museum of Ancona in collaboration with the Directorate General for Education and Research at the Colosseum Archaeological Park, intends to contribute to the progressive adaptation of the Colosseum Archaeological Park to European standards in terms of accessibility.
In particular, it is aimed at the acquisition of knowledge and skills useful for the planning and implementation of educational activities accessible to people with visual impairments.
In fact, the implementation of methodologies and dynamics useful for the joint definition of possible design paths is envisaged, to be implemented within the ambit of the activities managed by the educational services of the individual institutes.
The training course:
- is aimed only at internal personnel directly involved in cultural heritage education activities within the limit of 15 units for the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo, promoter of the course, and 1 unit for each of the other institutes indicated in the circular;
- is divided into 15 modules, for a total of about 100 hours, in the period between 29 November 2018 and 9 September 2019, in the Colosseum Archaeological Park headquarters, mainly on Mondays or Wednesdays, with an approximate cadence of twice per month.
At the end of the course, which provides for the assignment of 30 training credits, a final exam will take place.
