Course description

The Service I of the former General Directorate for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes promotes, as part of the Dicolab. Digital culture, the Digital Storytelling training course for cultural heritage, curated by the National School of Heritage and Cultural Activities.

The training initiative is part of the actions defined by the Ministry of Culture within the PNRR, Mission 1, Component 3 Culture 4.0, Investment 1.1 Digital strategies and platforms for cultural heritage. In particular, the program is financed by the European Union-Next Generation EU with resources from sub-investment 1.1.6 Training and improvement of digital skills, of which the National School of Cultural Heritage and Activities is the implementing body.

The program

The aim of the initiative is to provide a comprehensive vision of digital storytelling applied to cultural heritage, through the presentation of methods and tools to tell effective stories through digital tools, enhancing cultural heritage in an innovative and inclusive way.

The training course is divided into three courses in MOOC and Storyline-hands on format:

  • Digital Storytelling: evolution and new forms of storytelling
  • Becoming a cultural storyteller: tools and techniques
  • Participatory storytelling: solutions and tools for the involvement of heritage communities

Target audience

The training course is aimed at all MiC staff of the Officials Area and Assistants Area who carry out activities related, in particular in the communication field, to the topics covered in the course and to external users interested in the proposed activities.

Enrolment

Registrations for MiC staff are open from 28 May to 13 June 2025 exclusively on the Course Portal. The authorization procedure for MiC staff by the Manager will be possible until 17 June 20

Registrations for external users are managed directly by the National School of Cultural Heritage and Activities on its own platform.

Learning mode

The training course will be available on demand on the FAD platform of the National School of Heritage and Cultural Activitiesfrom 23 June to 31 October 2025.
