As part of the digital skills training and updating project Dicolab. Digital Culture, the General Directorate for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes promotes the training course Digital libraries 2 Services for citizens as part of cycle Libraries and digital transformation, edited by the National School of Cultural Heritage and Activities in collaboration with the Italian Library Association(AIB).

The training course aims to explore the digital services of libraries and the role they play for the reference community. Among the topics covered in depth: the opportunities of artificial intelligence, the value of the web and social media archiving for the preservation of digital heritage, the technologies and practices that support open access to open science, the evolution of the catalog and discovery tools in the contemporary world.

The training activity is divided into 9 webinars, with related insights, available live and on demand on the FAD platform of the National School of Heritage and Cultural Activities

The training course is aimed at MiC staff, in particular managers and staff of libraries or those who carry out activities related to the issues addressed and professionals involved in digital cultural planning processes.

The training initiative is part of the actions defined by the Ministry of Culture as part of the PNRR.
