On 04 April and 23 May 2023 theCentral Institute for Restoration (ICR) welcomes aspiring student restorers.
Also this year the School of Higher Education and Study (SAF) of theCentral Institute for Restoration (ICR) organized two orientation meetings. The meetings are aimed at acquiring information on the training offer and preparatory to the preparation of the competition for admission to the SAF, equivalent to a single-cycle master's degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage (LMR-02).
During the meetings, the course programs and the procedures for carrying out the tests of the admission competition will be illustrated. Furthermore, it will be possible to bring in view works for the graphic test and for the practical-perceptive one, which will be examined and corrected by specialist teachers in the sector, visit the restoration laboratories, observe teachers and students at work, interact with them and receive advice on the profession of restorer of cultural heritage.
The active professional paths (PFP) are:
- PFP 1: Stone materials and derivatives; decorated surfaces of architecture.
- PFP 2: Artifacts painted on wooden and textile support. Artifacts carved in wood. Furnishings and wooden structures. Manufactured in synthetic materials processed, assembled and/or painted.
- PFP 4: Ceramic, glass and organic materials and artifacts. Metal and alloy materials and products.
