The Foundation for Jewish Cultural Heritage in Italy (FBCEI) is looking for an assistant restorer to be included in the management of the National Library of Italian Judaism "Tullia Zevi" based in Rome, Lungotevere Sanzio 5.
The candidate will have to deal with defining the state of conservation of the Library's heritage and implement a set of direct and indirect actions to limit the processes of degradation of the materials of the assets and ensure their conservation, safeguarding their cultural value.
Requirements
Degree in the restoration sector with training course "PFP 5 Book and archival material. Paper and parchment artifacts. Photographic, cinematographic and digital material":
- Issued by the Schools of Higher Education and Study of the Ministry of Culture (at ICR, OPD, ICPAL)
- Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage (class LMR02) or equivalent qualification
- Single-cycle II level academic diploma qualifying for the profession of restorer of heritage (Code DASLQ01)
Good knowledge of Jewish culture and Italian Judaism;
Excellent knowledge of English;
Attested work experience for a period of at least 6 months;
Good knowledge of IT tools.
Preferential qualification: knowledge of the Hebrew language.
