Communication to interested parties pursuant to art.34 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (so-called GDPR)
On the night between 25 and 26 May 2024, a cyber attack was carried out on the data center of the Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes, resulting in the theft of data.
As soon as the malfunctions of the system resulting from the cyber attack occurred (therefore on the morning of Monday 27 May), the General Management promptly took action, reporting the event to both the Postal Police and the Privacy Guarantor and, in collaboration with the competent authorities , has set up a technical team dedicated to managing the event, implementing the necessary measures to contain the harmful effects of this attack.
