“Young European #HeritageMakers Competition”

Starts the September 27, 2022 on international competition Young European Heritage Makers Competitioncultural heritage competition aimed at children and teenagers in school age, organized as part of the European Heritage Days (GEP), promoted by the European Council and coordinated in Italy by General Directorate of Museums and from General Directorate of Education, Research, and Cultural Institutes of the Ministry of Culture.

Objective of the international competition is encourage new generations to discover, explore and express the value of their cultural heritage.

The contest is aimed at children and teenagers from 6 to 17 years old and consists in the creation of a video or graphic product that illustrates the interpretation of the cultural heritage closest to and familiar to them.

The ideas for reflection regarding the theme of the competition will start from the following questions:

  • What does cultural heritage represent for you?
  • What is unique about your local heritage and what elements are shared across Europe?
  • How to present the stories that tell our heritage in images and words?

You can participate in the contest until 31 December 2022.

The competition will culminate with thepreparation of an exhibition at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
