Agreement for enhanced cooperation between France and Italy. Exchange opportunities

On November 26 2021 the Treaty between the Italian Republic and the French Republic for enhanced bilateral cooperation was signed at the Palazzo del Quirinale, which aims to provide a stable and formalized framework for cooperation in relations between Italy and France.

As part of the collaboration between the Italian Ministry of Culture and the French Ministère de la culture, the Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes - on the recommendation of the Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences ISPC, belonging to the CNR - shares some funding and exchange currently available, launched by the Institut Français and the Université Franco-Italienne.

The links below provide all the information on initiatives, programmes, calls, scholarships which also include the theme of innovation for cultural heritage and are intended for French and Italian students, professors and researchers, as well as citizens from other interested European countries to study and/or work in France and Italy.

  • Galileo program (deadline: May 19, 2023)

    The call is open to research laboratories belonging to university structures and research organizations, to encourage the active participation and mobility of young researchers, in particular PhD students and post-docs.

  • Government French Mobility Grants (deadline: April 30, 2023)

    Call for mobility grants for students enrolled in a double-degree master's degree course (covering one academic semester of stay in France) or for doctoral students (covering a maximum of three consecutive months of stay in France).

  • "France Excellence Europa" scholarship program (deadline March 30, 2023)

    Developed by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and launched on the occasion of the French Presidency of the European Union (1 January – 30 June 2022), the programme allows students from 26 European Union countries (aged between 18 and 26) to obtain a scholarship to pursue a Master's degree at a university French.

  • “Cassini” program (deadline: April 10, 2023)

    The Program aims to allow PhD students, researchers and professors belonging to Italian universities to create or develop scientific relationships with French universities and research centers through the organization of scientific events. Cassini Junior (reserved for PhD students) and Cassini Senior (reserved for researchers and professors) provide funding of up to 1000 euros for the organization of a study day, a seminar or a conference. Projects in the field of mathematics will benefit from additional support from the LYSM (Laboratory Ypatia of Mathematical Sciences, Cnrs/INdAM – https://www.lysm.eu/fr/), equal to the same amount of support from the French Embassy in Italy.

  • Call for application Visiting Professor UIF 2023 (deadline: April 21, 2023)
