In the Department of Administrative Coordination for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Historical-Scientific Committee for anniversaries of national interest was established – introduced by D.P.C.M. 3 August 2012 as “Committee for anniversaries of national interest”, then by the D.P.C.M. 6 June 2013 with its current name, and amended by D.P.C.M. 12 November 2018 – “with the task of coordinating the planning, preparation, and organization of actions related to celebrations for anniversaries of national interest”. D.P.C.M. 25 September 2019 repealed the committee. Subsequently, D.P.C.M. 24 January 2020 called for the reconstitution of the Committee for anniversaries of national interest within 30 days of the date of registration of the same D.P.C.M.
