The Presidency of the Council of Ministers has published the announcement of the XX edition of the Giacomo Matteotti Prize, on the centenary of his death on 10 June 2024 (Official Gazette no. 9 of 30 January 2024).
The Prize, which is divided into three sections, will be assigned to works ispired by ideals as brotherhood among peoples, freedom and social justice that reflect the life of Giacomo Matteotti:
- Essays
- Literary and theatrical works
- Degree thesis
Participants must submit their applications by April 29, 2024 .
The award ceremony will take place in Rome on 18 October 2024 at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The award-winning works will be acquired in paper format and in digital version by the Chigiana Library at the Government headquarters.
