Publication date: 25/09/17

Last updated: 21/12/22

On 28 September, from 15.00 to 17.30, the second appointment of the cycle will be broadcast on Slashradio web 'Cultural Footprints'.

During the episode we will talk about landscape archeology. In particular, the themes of man's settlement along rivers and lakes, the transformation of the territory with the introduction of agriculture and the development of new villages starting from the Neolithic period will be addressed. An in-depth study will be dedicated to the village found in the locality of 'La Marmotta' on Lake Bracciano, in the province of Rome.

Some students of the 'Giulio Cesare' high school in Rome, involved in a school-work alternation project at the headquarters of the Directorate General for Education and Research, will open a parenthesis on the past of a quadrant of the Monti district. In this regard we will speak above all of the garden of the Central Institute for the restoration and conservation of the archival and book heritage in Via Milano in Rome, which in itself preserves numerous 'imprints' of the particular historical events that affected it.

Finally, the presentation of the new column 'SlashArt' will follow, made up of short contributions dedicated to cultural objects and subjects, in collaboration with the 'Omero' State Tactile Museum of Ancona, enriched by listening to a first 'slash' dedicated to the ' Virgin of Bruges' by Michelangelo (1501-1504).

The broadcast will be conducted by Luisa Bartolucci of the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

The following will take part: Mario Mineo, Archaeologist director of the 'Luigi Pigorini' National Museum of Prehistory and Ethnography in Rome – MiBACT; Mauro Rottoli, Archaeobotanist of the Civic Museums of Como; the students of the 'Giulio Cesare' classical high school in Rome; the President Aldo Grassini and Annalisa Trasatti of the 'Omero' State Tactile Museum in Ancona; Elisabetta Borgia of the Center for educational services of the museum and the territory, Directorate General for Education and Research, Service I Studies Office – MiBACT.
