The two training days, organized by the Directorate General for Education and Research in collaboration with the Central Institute for Cataloging and Documentation (see Circular Dg-ER n. 24 dated 5 June 2017), will take place in Rome, at the headquarters of the Roman College, the 15 and 16 June 2017 - 9.30 -16.30 and can be followed - throughout the national territory - in videoconference mode and/or, for authorized offices, in streaming mode.

Each Regional Secretariat, during the aforementioned period, will be able to ensure the functioning of the videoconference classrooms present on its territory, by communicating it to the email address: videconferenze@beniculturali.it.

The Institutes that activate the streaming mode will behave in the same way.

The aim of the days is to offer basic training on the methodology and tools defined by the ICCD for the acquisition, management and use of knowledge relating to the archaeological, architectural, landscape, historical-artistic and demo-ethno-anthropological heritage.

In particular, the following will be illustrated in general terms: the apparatus of standards (cataloguing models, terminological tools and lists of authorities, application methods); the General Information System of the Catalog - SIGECweb and the procedures associated with cataloging activities; the use and valorisation of the cataloging data on the platform for public consultation www.catalogo.beniculturali.it.

The days in question are aimed at personnel of the Central and peripheral Institutes of the MiBACT, primarily belonging to the II and III area and directly involved in the activities of cataloging and protecting the heritage.

For the central administration and for the MIBACT offices of Lazio, the organization is the responsibility of the Directorate General for Education and Research in collaboration with the Central Institute of Cataloging and Documentation.

Therefore, each office - present in the Region - is invited to communicate the names of the participants, within max. 2 units, subject to the authorization of the respective Institute heads.
