Museum Courses II WORKSHOP | Getting Oriented: “Museums and the Digital” Webinar Series
The School of Cultural Heritage and Activities Foundation, in collaboration with the Directorate General for Education, Research, and Cultural Institutes and the Directorate General for Museums, is organizing a second series of informational and training activities to support the National Museum System, titled "Museums and the Digital", as part of the initiative Museum Courses. The course, structured in a series of 7 webinars to explore digital skills applied to museums, is aimed at all professions in the museum sector.
The topic Museums and the Digital will be explored through “actions” and areas of effort for museum professionals. With an open and dialogical perspective, participants will go over the innovative and complex aspects of digital tools, new technologies, and the experience of a museum visit in the phygital dimension.
Topics for the webinars are:
- Building a digital strategy (4 May 2022)
- The time of digital (11 May 2022)
- Creating, using, and reusing (18 May 2022)
- Logging in and participating (24 May 2022)
- Promoting/communicating (26 May 2022)
- Inventory/cataloguing/conserving (1 June 2022)
- Curating (9 June 2022) Notice: the webinar "Curating", with speakers Sarah Dominique Orlando and Adrien Gardère, will not be held on 7 June, as indicated in the Circular, but on 9 June from 16.30 to 18.00.
Target audience
Ministry of Culture's staff performing activities related to the topics discussed.
Enrolment and use
Enrolment is open from 6 to 19 April 2022 exclusively on the Course Portal: https://portalecorsi.beniculturali.it/.
The webinars will be available on the e-learning platform of the School of Cultural Heritage and Activities Foundation (FAD) live, starting 4 May 2022 (as listed), up to 980 participants.
For additional participants enrolled and authorised on the Course Portal (up to 3,000), content will be available on demand on the e-learning platform starting 17 May 2022.
