The Service I of the former General Directorate for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes promotes, as part of the Dicolab. Digital culture, the Digital Storytelling training course for cultural heritage, curated by the National School of Heritage and Cultural Activities.

The aim of the initiative is to provide a comprehensive vision of digital storytelling applied to cultural heritage, through the presentation of methods and tools to tell effective stories through digital tools, enhancing cultural heritage in an innovative and inclusive way.

The training course is divided into three courses in MOOC and Storyline-hands on format:

  • Digital Storytelling: evolution and new forms of storytelling
  • Becoming a cultural storyteller: tools and techniques
  • Participatory storytelling: solutions and tools for the involvement of heritage communities

The training course is aimed at all MiC staff of the Officials Area and Assistants Area who carry out activities related to the topics covered in the course and to external users interested in the proposed activities.

The training initiative is part of the actions defined by the Ministry of Culture within the PNRR, Mission 1, Component 3 Culture 4.0, Investment 1.1 Digital strategies and platforms for cultural heritage. In particular, the program is financed by the European Union-Next Generation EU with resources from sub-investment 1.1.6 Training and improvement of digital skills, of which the National School of Cultural Heritage and Activities is the implementing body.
