It took place on March 18, 2022, at Palazzo Chiablese in Turin, the press conference: Open Air Museum of Contemporary Art. Open Art Pool. Restorations in progress between research and training.

The Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes, theCentral Institute for Restoration, the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Turin and the municipality of swimming pool they intervened on research project and multidisciplinary teaching site for the conservation and restoration of some works from the open-air Museum of Contemporary Art “Piscina Arte Aperta”.

The restoration, started in 2021 and currently under development, saw the creation of an innovative pilot site focused on three works of art inserted in an urban context, which aims to become a point of reference for establishing guidelines regarding the conservation of contemporary works of art outdoors. Furthermore, in parallel with the conservative interventions, they have been placed side by side seminar activities of a theoretical-practical nature, to underline the educational and training value of the initiative as a whole.

During the conference, the results achieved in the months of June-July 2021 and the future activities to be placed in continuity with the conservation interventions carried out and becoming part of the renewed collaboration protocol between the entities involved in the project.

In fact, the project envisages the construction of the conservative filing of the entire collection of the museum and starting a long-term conservative program, in order to involve the subjects of the territory and the students of the ICR themselves.
