Si terrà a Roma il 26 marzo 2024 alle ore 18.00 at the Sala Dante of the Central Institute for Graphics (ICG) in via Poli 54 la presentazione del volume “Sintesi Magica in Tamburello – vita e aneddoti” alla presenza dell’artista Concetto Tamburello.
The book is a tribute to the Sicilian artist, who never forgot his origins, even if he is a "Milanese by adoption". Printed in a limited edition of 300 numbered copies, the book consists of 252 pages and 405 images that reproduce Tamburello's works from the 60s to the present day. In addition to the artist's professional excursus, the book is full of anecdotes from the life of Tamburello, thus obtaining an exhaustive picture of his complex personality and providing a further key to understanding all his work.
The artist has told many times how he has always tried to express the complexity of the human soul through his signs in painting, mosaic, ceramics, graphics. His artistic language allows the unconscious aspects of man to intertwine with the memory of past civilizations, finally in his works the symbols are the attempt to rationalize and make comprehensible the unspeakable and the divine.
After the institutional greetings of Dr. Maura Picciau, Director of the Central Institute for Graphics and the introduction of Dr. Andrea De Pasquale, General Director of Education, Research and Cultural Institutes of the Ministry of Culture, Fausto Pellegrino, Deputy Mayor of Santo Stefano di Camastra, and the author Tina Taglieri will present the book assisted by Vittorio Alfieri historian-archaeologist who, in addition to his contribution to the preface, has prepared the visual contents.
