The conference A flowery and vague spring. Studies and research on Villa Silvestri Rivaldi it was conceived by the Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes to account for the work carried out and the progress in the study and knowledge of the site achieved in recent years.
DG-ERIC, in fact, from May 2018 to December 2021 took delivery of the large Renaissance complex; adapted over the centuries to various functions and remodeled in 1932, when the creation of via dell'Impero irreparably reduced the gardens, previously extended to the Basilica of Maxentius and the Horti Farnesiani. Around this time he started inside school-yards for active training, which saw institutions within the MiC and external subjects as protagonists, such as universities, institutes and research bodies, who collaborated to expand the framework of knowledge.
The three study days they involve scholars, who have dealt with it in various capacities; from the Special Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape of Rome to DG-ERIC, from Capitoline Superintendence to CNR, as well as restorers, teachers and students of theCentral Institute for Restoration and of the Universities of Wisdom and Rome Three.
The conference will be held at Rome from 5 to 7 December at the Sala Dante of the Central Institute for Graphics (ICG).
