The Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes - pursuant to art. 15, paragraph 2, letter r) of the DPCM 2 December 2019, n. 169 – takes care of the maintenance and functioning of the list, governed by the ministerial decree of 20 March 2009, n. 60 of the subjects authorized to draft the preventive archaeological assessment document:
- university archaeological institutes and departments
- subjects in possession of a degree and specialization in archeology or a research doctorate in archaeology
From today, on the portal of Cultural Heritage Professionals, it will be possible to register in section 1 and in section 2 of the list. In the first section the university archaeological departments or institutes will be inserted; in the second section the other subjects in possession of a degree and specialization in archeology or a research doctorate in archeology.
In the application for registration in the lists, the applicant self-certifies possession of the qualifications and requisites required by art. 2 of ministerial decree 20 March 2009, n. 60, in the case of departments or institutes, and by articles 3 and 6, in the case of the other subjects envisaged by the legislation.
To submit the application electronically, you will need:
- register on the Portal by clicking on the menu item "Log in” and enter the SPID credentials, in order to access a personal area
- click on the menu item "Membership lists”
- In the case of departments or institutes, select the item "New request" in the field "Enrollment in archaeological institute/university archaeological department“
- In the case of subjects in possession of a degree and specialization in archeology or a research doctorate in archeology, select "New request" in the field "Registration section 2 list of archaeologists (DM 20 March 2009, n. 60)”
The deadline for completing the enrollment procedure is 90 days from the receipt of the application by the Directorate General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes.
Professional archaeologists, whose application for registration in the relative list governed by Ministerial Decree 244/2019 is still being verified as of 14 February 2023, will have to submit a further application for registration in the appropriate section of the Portal if they are interested in being included in the section 2 of the list of operators authorized to draft the preventive archaeological assessment document.
For level I archaeologists present in the list of archaeologists pursuant to DM 244/2019 on 14 February 2023, already authorized to prepare the preventive archaeological assessment document because they meet the requirements under current legislation, it will not be necessary to resubmit the application of registration in the aforementioned section of list 2 pursuant to ministerial decree 20 March 2009, n. 60.
