Young protagonists of European cultural heritage competition 2023: the Italian finalists

The second Italian edition of the Young European Heritage Makers Competition (2023 Young European Heritage Makers Competition).

Thirty the competing projects examined and evaluated by a specific transversal commission of the MIC, established by the Direzione generale Musei and the Direzione generale Educazione, ricerca e istituti culturali.

The works of the participating groups were evaluated taking into consideration the originality of the chosen subjects and their narrative, the graphic rendering of the project, the European symbolic value and adherence to the theme of the last edition of the Giornate Europee del Patrimonio, “Patrimonio InVita”.

The two projects that have obtained the highest score are:

During the month of April 2024, the Council of Europe will evaluate the finalist works from the European countriesparticipating in the initiative and in May the two winning projectsper category will be announced , rewarding the group aged 11-17 with a visit to the headquarters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

The appointment with the next edition will be in September, coinciding with the 2024 edition of the Giornate Europee del Patrimonio.
