Conservation Issues in Archival and Library Heritage and Emergency Management
TheCentral Institute for Archives and Book Pathology (ICPAL)in collaboration with the Directorate General for Education, Research, and Cultural Institutes and the School of Cultural Heritage and Activities Foundation, is organising a training day on “Conservation Issues in Archival and Library Heritage and Emergency Management.”
The training programme critically addresses aspects and issues related to the conservation of documents and works on paper using a multidisciplinary methodological approach.
Topics for the day:
- Preventive conservation;
- Risk comprehension and crisis management: being prepared and preparing cultural property for emergencies;
- History, features, and issues of modern paper.
Target audience
Ministry of Culture's staff who perform activities related to the topics discussed, especially at State Archies and Libraries.
Enrolment and use
Enrolment is open from 15 April to 4 May 2022 exclusively on the Course Portal MiC: https://portalecorsi.beniculturali.it.
The training day will be available live on the Foundation’s FAD Platform on 17 May 2022, for up to 980 participants.
For additional participants enrolled and authorised on the Course Portal (up to 3,000), the content will be available on demand from 30 May to 30 September 2022.
Attending all the lessons of the module (approximately 4 hours) entitles participants to 4 continuing education credits (CFC).
